Jewel & Bead Gallery was founded in August, 2005 by Christie Liljestrand. She started at home as a hobby like many beaders with a desire to make jewelry that she really wanted but either could not find what she was looking for or it was too expensive to purchase. Making her own jewelry seemed like the logical choice. Christie soon mastered the art, grew her home based business into a viable company and has never looked back. Her ability to create unique custom designs using precious and semi-precious gemstones incorporating sterling silver, gold, crystals, freshwater pearls and much more has been very successful and are now available in our retail store in Germantown, MD.
